U12s played Bedwas, Newport High School Old Boys (NHSOB),
Ystrad Mynach and Caerleon in their games and finished in joint
Runners up place in a tough group . Mold were just edged out by
5-0 by Bedwas, then beat NHSOB by 5-0 thanks to a Try from Andy
Hayler. Mold then beat Ystrad Mynach 5-0 thanks to a Will Bryan
Try, Then went on to beat Caerleon 15-5 with Tries from Tomos
Williams, Andy Hayler, Will Bryan.
U11s won their third
Tournament in nearly as many weeks with some fast flowing Rugby
against some big, physical South Wales Teams, Mold U11s were drawn
in with Ystrad Rhondda, Caerleon, Bedwas, Nelson and Newport
High School Old Boys (NHSOB). Mold’s first game was against a
strong Ystrad Rhondda side who raced into a two Try lead
before Mold switched out of Tour mode and took the game to Ystrad
Rhondda and scored 2Tries of their own to level the score with
Caine le Tissier and Ieuan Vaughan scoring for Mold and were
unlucky not to score with Mold camped on Ystrad Rhondda’s Try
line at the end of the match Final score Mold 10 Ystrad Rhondda

Mold’s next game was against
Home side (NHSOB) with Mold running out 3 Tries to 1 winners
thanks Ieuan Vaughan after a strong run from Ethan Roberts, Tyler
Bridges who intercepted a loose pass and Gareth Cannon. Next up
for Mold were Bedwas with Mold now starting to play some fast
flowing Rugby, Mold ran out 30-0 Winners thanks to a Hat-trick of
Tries from lighting quick winger Caine le Tissier , Micheal Gordon
who scored after Bedwas dropped the ball, Tyler Bridges and Jacob
Collin who darted through Bedwas defence to score.
Mold’s next game was against a
big physical Caerleon side with Mold now in their stride and
running out 30-0 winners thanks to Ieuan Vaughan(2) Tyler
Bridges(2) Caine le Tissier and Jacob Collin on the score sheet
for Mold. Mold now had to beat Nelson by 5 Tries to win the
Tournament ,Ystrad Rhondda having beaten NHSOB by 30-0 in their
final game and Mold level on points if they beat Nelson it would
go to Try Count with Ystrad on 21 Tries and Mold on 17. Mold
started at a terrific pace and had run in the five Tries they
needed just after half time final score Mold 25 Nelson 5 Caine
le Tissier won the player of the weekend award for his superb 6
Try haul all scored at blistering pace.
Well done Mold U11s what a
fantastic way to end the season everyone played brilliantly. Mold

Fawkes and Coaches Paul Samuel, Andy Bridges, John Purchase.
U10s were
drawn in a tough pool with Nelson, Caldicot and two Teams
Newport High School Old Boys (NHSOB) Mold’s first game was
against Nelson with Mold being edged out 4 Tries to 2 in a
tight game Ben Roberts grabbing both of Mold’s Tries.Mold’s
next game was against Caldicot which ended in a 4 Try all
draw with Ben Roberts grabbing another two Tries and Osian Haynes
also scoring two.Mold now faced a strong NHSOB side with the Home
Team running out 8 Tries to 1 winners Ieuan Roberts scoring
Mold’s Try. Mold’s final game was against the other
NHSOB Team with Mold once again just being edged out 4 Tries to 2
in a end to end game Tom Prebble and Man of the Match Ieuan
Roberts scoring Mold’s Tries.
U9s last
match of the season was at the Newport festival, South Wales.
Having been depleted by parental and player injuries pre tour, the
small squad all performed above their station with exceptional
performances in particular, from two playing up U8 youngsters:
Harry Taylor in all of Mold’s games and Macsen Evans in final
game for what was his last match for Mold rugby club. The whole
team dug into an almost bottomless pit of reserves and came away
with heads held high having played against some extremely strong
and large opposition on a full half of a pitch. The full squad was
Kieron Roberts, Ronan Burger,
Oli Taylor, Harry Taylor, Harry Robinson, Macsen Evans, Oscar
Tami, Owen Millington, Morgan Johnson and Connor Bishop.
U7/U8s took a
combined U7s/U8s Team to Newport on Tour and finished in third
place in their group, Mold U8s first played St Julians and ran out
8 Tries to 3 winners thanks to Tries from Rhys Messham(4)
Ben Beaver(2) Tom James(2). Mold’s next game was against Ystrad
Rhondda who they had beat a few weeks ago at the Shotton Festival
but this time Ystrad Rhondda edged out Mold 5 Tries to 3 with Tom
James(2) and Rhys Messham scoring for Mold. Mold’s next game was
against Newport High School Old Boys (NHSOB) with Mold once again
only just being edged out by 5 Tries to 4 with Charlie
Prebble,William Roberts(2) and Tom Halliday on the score sheet.
Mold's final game was against Nelson with Mold’s younger players
starting to run out of steam after a long day Nelson edged them
out by 4 Tries to 2 with Tom Halliday and Elis Cannon crossing the
white wash for Mold.

Captains being
presented with the overall Anglo Welsh Tournament Trophy by Effion Roberts,
Wales & Sale
